What is Cellulite?
It is increasingly common and affects women more than men with around 85 – 95% of women having cellulite. Cellulite is pockets of fat found just below the skin, creating a lumpy and dimpled look, texture and consistency. They are caused by alterations in the skin, as a result of damaged collagen and elastin fibers, poor blood supply, enlarged fat cell chambers and the accumulation of metabolic waste. During the first visit, your provider helps design your individual treatment plan. Most patients undergo 6 treatments, scheduled once or twice a week. A treatment typically takes about 20 – 45 minutes depending on the treated area.
